Finance Operations

Better workflows around the books.

Bring requests, documents, approvals and follow-up into a process people can actually use.

In short

What this means

Finance Operations focuses on how financial work moves through your business. We assess document collection, payables, receivables, approvals and system handoffs, then agree practical improvements and carefully scoped automation.

Fix the handoffs before adding more software

A process review follows a transaction from the request or source document to approval, recording and reconciliation. We identify repeated entry, unclear responsibility and missing evidence before proposing a new tool.

Where we can help

Choose the workflows that matter first rather than automating everything at once.

  • Consistent supplier-document collection and bill-review queues
  • Approval routing with responsibilities and escalation defined
  • Receivables follow-up and a visible record of disputed items
  • Documented month-end and year-end handoffs
  • Approved accounting and operating-system connections
  • Exception handling, change records and staff instructions

Prepared, approved and paid are different states

A proposed payment list is not payment authority. Workflows identify who prepares, who approves and who releases money. Confirmation from the receiving or sending bank remains a separate evidence step where needed.

Automation with an accountable reviewer

Imports, matching and reminders can reduce repetitive handling. Rules still need testing, permissions and exception paths. Uncertain matches go to review rather than being treated as facts simply because a system suggested them.

A documented process you can keep

The proposed deliverable is a practical workflow, responsibilities, system requirements and an operating guide. A specific integration is confirmed only after access, compatibility and a working test—not merely because a platform has an API.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you already connect to every property or accounting platform?

No. We assess the particular systems and permissions before committing to an integration. Approved exports may be the right starting point where a live connection is unavailable.

Does automation replace human review?

No. Automation assists with repetitive tasks and identifies items for review. People remain responsible for approved policies, exceptions and the final output.

Will you release supplier payments?

Not under a general bookkeeping or workflow engagement. Any payment-related responsibility must be explicitly authorized, documented and protected by agreed controls.

Service scope, access, responsibilities and delivery dates are agreed in writing. Tax, payroll and jurisdiction-sensitive work is assessed before engagement; assurance and legal services are not included.

Talk through the workflows that slow you down.

A short consultation is enough to understand your systems, your deadlines and where the friction is. No obligation, no pressure.
