Manufacturing & Industrial
Financial records that follow the work from materials to margin.
Connect purchasing, inventory, labour and site results to financial reporting you can use.
In short
What this means
Rybair can help manufacturers and industrial businesses reconcile the accounting records behind inventory, production costs and cash commitments. We assess how source records move through the business before designing a monthly close, margin view and finance operations workflow.
Follow inventory through the operating cycle
Raw materials, work in progress (WIP) and finished goods need distinct records and agreed valuation policies. We can compare inventory subledgers, counts and adjustments with the general ledger, document unexplained differences and coordinate the accounting-policy decisions that require specialist input.
- Raw-material, WIP and finished-goods balances
- Inventory-to-ledger reconciliation and adjustment support
- Cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross-margin reporting
- Open questions on counts, timing and classification
Connect supplier spend, assets and labour
Purchase orders, supplier invoices, receiving records and payments are easier to control when ownership and approval are clear. Fixed-asset and capital-expenditure schedules, payroll and labour-cost coding can then inform the close without confusing operating expense with investment in equipment.
- Supplier AP, purchasing approvals and payment schedules
- Fixed-asset and CapEx record organization
- Payroll and labour costs mapped to the agreed reporting structure
- Month-end exceptions with a responsible next action
See where margin and cash are moving
Depending on the underlying data, reporting can compare product, customer or site profitability; warehouse and multi-location results; and trends in working capital and cash conversion. We agree the basis of allocation before treating a margin by product or customer as a decision-ready figure.
Plan from operations, not just last year's totals
Budgets and forecasts can model volume, input costs, labour, stock levels and collections with explicit assumptions. The reporting pack can show actual versus budget and identify which change affected margin or cash most. Financing, tax and specialist cost-accounting questions are assessed separately.
Assess the accounting and ERP environment first
We review the accounting or ERP system, inventory records, access, exports and reporting structure case by case. A system may need cleanup or better controls before it can support reliable cost analysis. We do not assume a live integration or claim a cost-accounting certification.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you report on WIP and finished goods separately?
We first assess the inventory and production records, the current accounting policy and the supporting reconciliation. The available detail determines which distinctions the reports can support.
Can you show profit by product, customer or site?
Where the records support consistent coding and a defensible allocation basis, we can scope these views. We identify estimates and gaps rather than presenting an unreliable margin as final.
Will you connect directly to our ERP?
We assess approved access, exports, available APIs and control totals for your environment before agreeing a workflow. This page does not claim an existing live ERP integration.
Can finance operations support purchasing approvals?
Yes, where included in scope. We map who requests, approves, records and pays supplier obligations so the ledger reflects the supporting workflow.
Service scope, access, responsibilities and delivery dates are agreed in writing. Tax, payroll and jurisdiction-sensitive work is assessed before engagement; assurance and legal services are not included.
