Payroll
Payroll that stays connected to the books.
From each pay run to year-end, know what was processed, remitted and reconciled.
In short
What this means
Rybair can manage an agreed payroll workflow: recurring processing, source deduction and remittance tracking, reconciliations and year-end records. We align payroll entries with the accounting records and document who approves changes, payments and filings.
A recurring payroll rhythm
The engagement defines pay frequency, cutoffs, source data and approval responsibilities. We record employee changes and exceptions before a pay run is finalized.
- Recurring payroll processing and review
- Employee changes and pay adjustments
- Source deductions and remittance tracking
- Payroll-to-general-ledger reconciliation
Records when employment changes
Changes to roles, pay or employment status need a clear evidence trail. Where appropriate, we coordinate Record of Employment (ROE) work and identify who supplies and approves the information.
Year-end without losing the thread
T4/T4A records, payroll balances and year-end reconciliations are reviewed together. Any correction, filing or payment responsibility is agreed in the scope rather than assumed from a routine payroll run.
Work with the system you use
We can assess workflows and records from QuickBooks Payroll, Wagepoint, Payworks, ADP, Dayforce (formerly Ceridian), Humi, Rise, Knit and PaymentEvolution. Rippling, Gusto and Deel may be relevant for U.S. or cross-border work, subject to jurisdiction review. A platform mention is not a claim of a direct live integration.
- Review current provider, access and exports
- Plan setup or migration where appropriate
- Reconcile opening balances and prior periods
- Agree how approvals, remittances and accounting entries connect
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you take over our current payroll provider?
We first review access, pay history, year-to-date balances, remittance status and the intended cutover, then propose a setup or migration scope.
Are remittances included?
We can track and coordinate in-scope remittances. Who initiates and approves payment, and how completion is evidenced, is agreed for each engagement.
Service scope, access, responsibilities and delivery dates are agreed in writing. Tax, payroll and jurisdiction-sensitive work is assessed before engagement; assurance and legal services are not included.
